FRM2025 Abstract Submission Guidelines

Abstracts must be submitted online via the FRM 2025 portal following the completion of the registration process. The abstract is only considered as fully submitted following the full payment of the registration fee.

• All abstracts must be submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling.

• Your abstract study or research must include at least preliminary results.

• After you start drafting your abstract, you can re-enter the submission link at any time to view and edit it until the submission deadline on 28 February.

• You will be able to download a PDF copy of your abstract to save it in your record once submitted.

• Abstracts of participants who fail to complete the payment of their registration fees will not be included in the FRM 2025.

• If your abstract is successfully submitted, you will receive a confirmation email containing the title of your abstract. If you do not receive this confirmation email or have any other questions related to the abstract submission, please contact the FRM 2025 via email frm-2025@dscience.uio.no

• Presentation format: Authors can submit abstracts for poster presentations only.

• Abstract title: The title should not exceed 25 words.

• Body text: Limited to 250 words. We recommend using word-processing software (for example Microsoft Word) for editing your abstract and counting the number of words. Typing your text directly into the field is not recommended. Please be sure not to include extra spaces and symbols, as these are included in the word count.

• Abstracts should describe: Aims, Methods, Results and Conclusions. They should be submitted in plain paragraph, without sectioning into headings.

• Use only standard abbreviations. Place special or unusual abbreviations in parentheses after the full word the first time it appears. To avoid problems during submission, please select special characters behind the $ symbol button or write them fully (e.g. ALPHA)

• Graphs, figures and images (only one per abstract) can be added in JPG, PNG and GIF format by clicking on the Insert Image icon. Word count is not affected when graphs/tables/images are added with the Insert Image icon. (The maximum file size of each figure/image is 5 MB. The maximum pixel size of the figure/image is 600(w) x 800(h) pixels. The minimum recommended resolution is 150 dpi, 300 dpi for images, 600 dpi for line art (charts). Tables are allowed with a maximum size of 10 columns x 10 rows.

• One table or one figure can be submitted per abstract by clicking on the Insert Table or insert image icons. Tables are allowed with a maximum size of 10 columns x 10 rows.

• You will be asked to confirm that you will disclose any conflict of interest in your presentation at the Forum.

• To be able to revise your abstract until the submission deadline, please click on the “Save” button located at the bottom of the submission form. The abstract submission deadline is 28th February 2025, 23:59 hours CEST.

• After submission, no further changes will be possible!

• Abstract acceptance notifications will be sent in late March 2025.

• Poster scheduling will be sent in April 2025.

The abstract submission system has a “Poster Grouping Code” section that allows a group of authors to create a grouping code to link posters. The “Poster Grouping Code” section can be used to generate a new grouping code (one code per group of linked abstracts) or to join a group of posters with an existing Code. Please note the following:

• All abstracts in a group must be allocated to the same theme and topic. Please note that if these fields are marked differently, your abstract will be scheduled apart from the group.

• Inform your colleagues about the “Poster Grouping Code” that they must use to link to your group.

• The Programme Committee will consider your abstract grouping request during the session scheduling process. However, this request is not guaranteed, and the committee reserves the right to move abstracts to different sessions, re-order the abstracts within each session, and add other appropriate abstracts to any session.

• Groups can only have up to 10 abstracts.

• By submitting an abstract, the submitting author confirms that all information of the abstract is correct and has been approved by the co-authors.

• Submitted abstracts cannot be modified or corrected after the submission deadline and will be published exactly as submitted.

• Submission of an abstract constitutes the authors consent for publication (e.g., FRM 2025 website, programme, other promotions)

• The submitting author warrants on behalf of all authors and institutions that they are the sole owner and/or has the rights of all the information and content, including tables, graphs and images, (Hereafter: “The Content”)( provided to FRM 2025 (Hereafter: “The Organiser”). The publication of the abstract does not infringe on any third-party rights including, but not limited to, intellectual property rights.

• By submitting an abstract, you grant the Organiser and the FRM a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, publish, translate, distribute, and display the Content.

• By submitting an abstract, you confirm that the contact details saved in this system are those of the corresponding author, who will be notified about the status of the abstract. The corresponding author is responsible for informing the other authors about the status of the abstract.

• By submitting an abstract, you confirm that the conducted research described is in compliance with ethical rules and standards, relevant European legislation and relevant international conventions and declarations, national authorisations and ethics approvals, proportionality of the research methods and the applicants’ awareness of the ethical aspects and social impact of their planned research. The corresponding author is responsible for any identified misconduct.

• The Organiser reserves the right to remove any abstract that does not comply with the above rules and conditions.

• Abstract withdrawal can be requested by e-mail to frm-2025@dscience.uio.no

• Only submitting authors are allowed to withdraw an abstract.

• If the presenter of an abstract cancels their registration, and FRM has not been notified that one of the co-authors in attendance can stand in as presenter, their abstract will be withdrawn from the scientific programme.

• If the submitted abstract is rejected, candidates can cancel their registration minus EUR 30 handling fees.

• If first author of an abstract cancels the registration, the abstract will not be included in the scientific programme.
